Mark Lost 10 Pounds!

JOHN: This is John from Mark Patrick Seminars and I'm on the phone with Mark. Hi, Mark. Can you tell everybody a little bit about yourself and where you're from?
MARK: Sure, John. My name is Mark. I'm 56 years old. I am from a small town just south of Iowa City, Iowa, small Amish community.
JOHN: Mark, how much weight have you lost so far?
MARK: As of one week, I’ve lost 10 pounds.
JOHN: Terrific. Sounds great. Mark, what type of environment did you grow up in?
MARK: In a good, healthy environment. Mom cooked suppers every night for us and we ate good food. We didn’t eat a lot of junk food. I mean, we had potato chips and soda pop but didn’t get that stuff every day. Just normal food.
JOHN: Good stuff. So, give us a couple of examples of the programs you’ve tried before to lose the weight,
MARK: You know, mostly just tried myself just to diet and just watch what I eat and try to do some exercise and just that kind of stuff. I really haven’t tried any set programs before.
JOHN: Good stuff. So, what was the most weight you have lost in the past?
MARK: I lost 30 pounds in one summer. That was two years ago I believe.
JOHN: Gotcha. What do you think the reason is for gaining the weight back?
MARK: Most of it I have fallen summer I broke my ankle and I didn’t get out and exercise like I should have and of course, when you don’t exercise, you start eating all the junk food again, so that’s pretty much what happened.
JOHN: Good stuff. Mark, what were your expectations coming to a Mark Patrick seminar?
MARK: I really didn’t know what to expect. I did speak with the gentleman who had quit smoking with this seminar and it had worked for him and I thought, “Well, you know what? If it doesn’t work, I’m out $50, if it does work, I’m in for a healthier lifestyle.”
JOHN: There you go. Good stuff. Mark, what changes have you noticed since the seminar?
MARK: I noticed that when I do sit down to eat a meal, I don’t need to eat nearly as much to feel full. I’m eating healthier foods. I haven’t had a candy bar or a soda pop since I did the seminar on August 12th. To me, that’s really great because I actually went shopping right after the seminar and waiting in line to checkout and [inaudible 00:02:18] my Hersey bar would end up in my hand and I had no desire to even pick one up.
JOHN: That’s sounds like a good first step, isn’t it?
MARK: Yes, it is.
JOHN: Good stuff. Mark, if there’s one statement or a word of advice you would give someone thinking about coming to a seminar, what would that be?
MARK: Don’t be apprehensive about it, just go, enjoy it. If it works for you like it did for me, I think it’ll make a big change in your life. So far, I’m very happy with it, so I think if you go in with a positive attitude that it will come out a positive result. I’m happy that you can go back anytime afterwards. They give you a CD to listen to at home that helps and reprograms you and I have done that already and that works as well. So, I would say, just go do it. And again, you’re only going to be out $50 and if it works for you, you’re in for a healthier lifestyle. I’m really thankful to Mark Patrick for giving these seminars. I’m hoping that I’ll continue to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle, so I can spend more time with my grandchildren. So, a big thank you to Mark Patrick and his seminars. Tell you what? I’m serious. I’m really impressed with—I mean, I get a little bit of craving here and there, but I think it works. I don’t feel near as hungry anymore.
